The American and English market control
authorities, have decided to reduce short selling of certain stock negotiated
in the respective markets.
As a consequence of these particular measures, IWBANK has reduced
the list of foreign stock available for short selling.

- Intraday Margining enables you to buy securities using liquidity financed by the Bank ("short") as long as the position is closed within the day with a sale of the same securities.
Margining is therefore used to “obtain liquidity“ in order to carry out short buy transactions, from securities already in your portfolio and from the liquidity present in your Current Account.
- Intraday Short Selling enables you to sell securities
that are currently not in your portfolio ("short") as long as the position is closed within the day by buying the same securities.
As guarantee, IWBank will "freeze", in your Account, a liquid amount equal to a percentage (the so-called MARGIN) of the counter value of the securities sold, in addition to the proceeds of the sale.
The Margin is unfrozen when the securities are purchased and, therefore, the position is closed.

- Margining enables you to buy securities using liquidity provided by the Bank ("short") without the obligation of closing the position within the day.
For the overnight margining service, you need the proper authorisation found in the IW Scalper application form.
- Overnight Short Selling allows you to sell securities, that are not in your portfolio ("short") without the obligation of closing the position within the day.
The freezing and unfreezing of margins occurs in the same way as for Intraday Short Selling.
Margins will be recalculated at the end of every day based on the closing price of that day.
This service can be used as a perfect complement to the Intraday Short Selling service.
